The Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta) is one of the faculties at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB). The name of the faculty metamorphosed from the Faculty of Technology and Agricultural Mechanization (Fatemeta) which was established on October 3, 1964 in Bogor, which manages two departments, namely the Department of Agricultural Mechanization and the Department of Agricultural Product Technology. The name Fateta was used in 1981.
In the same year, there was a change in the name and development of the department, namely the Department of Agricultural Engineering, the Department of Food and Nutrition Technology and Agro-Industrial Technology. In 2003, IPB changed the term Department to Department. In the period 2005 to 2010 it continued to develop and manage four (4) departments, namely the Department of Mechanical and Biosystem Engineering (TMB), the Department of Food Science and Technology (ITP), the Department of Agro-Industrial Technology (TIN), and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (SIL).
Currently, Fateta is located on the Dramaga Bogor Campus of IPB, which occupies a four-story building with an area of 22,000 m2 consisting of offices, classrooms, laboratories, and academic and student service units. Fateta also has a pilot plant ward (F-Technopark) and a Leuwikopo field laboratory in the Dramaga Campus area of IPB.
Until 2021, Fateta has graduated as many as # people in undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs. Fateta graduates work and contribute greatly in advancing agricultural technology in Indonesia in various professions, both private companies, state-owned enterprises, government agencies, as entrepreneurs, and other professional fields. With the achievements of the entire academic community, Fateta has developed into an educational institution that contributes greatly to the development of agricultural engineering and technology education in Indonesia.
