Integrating engineering science and industrial management with process technology

The Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology was developed from the Department of Agricultural Product Technology in 1981. In 2005, its name was changed to the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology.

The Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology has a scientific mandate in the development of science and technology in the field of agro-industry which includes industrial engineering and management, process and bioprocess technology, and environmental engineering and management. The scientific fields of the TIN Department are grouped into seven (7) divisions, namely (1) Engineering and Industrial Systems; (2) Process Technology; (3) Bioindustry; (4) Packaging, Warehousing and Transportation System Technology; (5) Quality Control; (6) Environmental Engineering and Management; and (7) Business and Industrial Applications. The TIN Department manages three (3) study programs as follows:
