Agroindustrial Technology Studies Program held a public lecture on the IPB "Sugar chemistry on starch, beta-glucan, and lignocelluloses, and a practical bio-ethanol production from starch and beta-glucan". Public lecture was given by Dr. Makoto Hisamatsu, Professor at the Department of Sustainable Resources Sciences, Faculty of Bioresources, Mie University, Japan.

FATETA IPB has conducted elections Student Achievement (Mawapres) level of faculty in 2012 on March 9, 2012. The selection of participants is six students selected from three departments in Fateta, namely Yuliani and Ramli Baharman (Ministry TMB), Ary Kristianto and Yunita Siti Mardhiyyah (Ministry ITP), Anik Setiyaningsih and Nur Rahmawati (Ministry TIN). Jury selection is the Vice Dean and the Chair of the Department Fateta in Fateta. In attendance as a juror at the ceremony were Dr. Sugiyono, Dr. M. Shu'aib Faiz, Dr. Eko Purnomo's Day, Dr. Ono Suparno, and Prof. Dr. Asep Sapei.

Al Binaa IT-High School Bekasi visited Fateta IPB on December 15, 2011. The visit was conducted in an effort to broaden students' knowledge related to science and in order to explore the possibility of students continuing their education to university level as well as introduce a system of learning in college. The visit was attended by 41 students and two teacher assistants.

Scientific oration three professors in the 48th Anniversary of IPB was held at the Graha Widya Wisuda IPB on October 29, 2011. One of the professor who convey scientific speech is Prof.. Dr. Ir. Ani Suryani, DEA from the Department of Agroindustrial Technology Fateta IPB. At the event, Prof. Ani Suryani delivering academic speech entitled "Engineering the transformation of agricultural products within the framework of functional diversification and increased value-added products".
